Cartoon about church publicity

There's a funny cartoon about church publicity here. NB - I don't think churches should necessarily "get people in" to do the marketing; I think most non-dead churches have at least one person capable of putting together a basic website or blog about the church. It's easy!

There's a very interesting issue here. I've deleted other comments you've put on my blog claiming to introduce yourself for the first time and all with exactly the same spelling and grammatical errors.

The question then is - is getting publicity in what is almost universally regarded as an unethical way (automated blogger comments claiming to be from a real person) a legitimate way to go about marketing a Christian product? The answer of course is no. The right thing done in the wrong way is not the right thing.
