It is impossible to enjoy idling thoroughly unless one has plenty of work to do.
I like work: it fascinates me. I can sit and look at it for hours. I love to keep it by me: the idea of getting rid of it nearly breaks my heart.
I heartily disagree. When I have lots of work to do, my idle days are ridden with guilt.
I find it depends on how important the work is. But yes, in general I agree.That post was actually partly for someone who was idling to avoid work...
But what I would add is that I find it much easier to do very little when I have work to do than when I don't.
M's law of journals : "In every edition of a journal, there is at least one article that is far more interesting than the paper you are supposed to be reading."
